fun fact! I'm legally blind. I mention this from time to time (very rarely though) but I always feel I need to explain it whenever I do for some reason so I do have a section on that (which you don't need to read)

Yes I am legally blind and yes I still have some eyesight. Being blind does not always mean having no eyesight at all

My left eye is 100% useless. It used to have some eyesight when I was a little but the eye doctor had me wear an eye patch on my good eye to try to strengthen it (it was always weak) but they told me not to wear my glasses so I stained the eye until it was useless. I think I was 6 or 7 when I lost all eyesight from it so it's been a while

But besides that everything has been like this since I was born and I'm used to living like this

My eyelids don't open all of the way (roughly between 1/4 and 1/8 of an average person's eyes) so from far away it looks like my eyes are closed

Because my eyelids don't open all of the way my eyes can't move up or down like everyone else's so I have to move my neck up and down to see (so both the muscles in my eyelids and my eyes don't function the way everyone else's do)

With the combo of my left eye not working and my eyes not able to move up and down, I have absolutely no depth perception. When you're blind in your left eye you lose most of it (not all common misconception) but I have none of it.

This means I can't do basic things like drive or play most sports. If you think of anything that requires good eyesight I probably can't do it (but I'm also going to school for graphic design so like. there's that)

I have really bad far sight vision and I have glasses but I can't get my proper prescription I need. This is because my near sight vision is good and I can't get bifocals since my eyes can't move up and down. My eye doctor believes that if they gave me my actual prescription me constantly taking them on and off to see up close and far away would worsen the very little vision I have. So I have a weaker version of my prescription (meaning sometimes even if I sit in the very front of the classroom I still cannot read the board without squinting).

Not having depth perceptions means things like 3d movies or thinks mimicking a 3d effect (I'm looking at you i7 gameplay) give me a really bad headache and I normally throw up because of it
